At north the Iguazu river separates it of the Republic Federative of Brazil.
At northwest, west and southwest the Parana river separates to it of the Replublic of Paraguay.
At South limits with the region of the jungle (center and south zones of the department of Iguazu)
At southeast, East and northeast limits with the department of General Belgrano.
